What You Can Do After This Chapter

Learning objective. Learner plans payment testing and certification, including test cases, test data, simulators, and scheme certification, and writes a test plan for a new payment feature. Learner practises this skill on realistic banking cases, explaining the reasoning clearly and using correct terminology throughout the work.

Practical assessment. Learner writes a test plan for adding SEPA Instant to a payment hub, covering twenty test cases across happy path, boundary, error, and failure scenarios. Learner then creates test data for five cases, including a 0.01 euro payment and a 100,000 euro payment, and explains the certification steps and evidence required before go-live. Learner presents the work with calculations and assumptions stated clearly, then reviews it against the chapter checklist and corrects any gaps before submission.

Expected deliverables.

Completion criterion. Learner covers happy path, boundary, error, and failure cases, provides valid test data, and lists the certification evidence required before go-live. Judgement covers accuracy, completeness, and clear written explanation in the submitted work.
