What You Can Do After This Chapter

Learning objective. Learner explains 3D Secure authentication, tokenization, chargeback reason codes, and dispute handling, and decides the correct chargeback response for a given dispute scenario. Learner applies this skill in realistic banking scenarios, with clear examples and correct terminology throughout.

Practical assessment. Learner receives four dispute scenarios, including a 350 dollar fraud claim, a 90 dollar duplicate charge, and a 200 dollar goods-not-received claim, and selects the correct chargeback reason code and response for each. Learner then explains how tokenization protects a stored card, and writes the evidence pack list for one dispute, naming each document required. Learner submits all work with sources, calculations, and assumptions stated clearly, and reviews the result against the chapter checklist before submission.

Expected deliverables.

Completion criterion. Learner selects the correct reason code for at least three of four disputes, names the right evidence, and explains tokenization protection accurately. Completion is judged on accuracy, completeness, and clear written explanation throughout.
